This painting is inspired by seeing the decorated eggs (pysanky) that are traditional to Ukraine, and imagining what it would be like if the eggs were naturally like this, and the birds that came out of them were just as beautifully patterned and colourful as the eggs themselves.

Full description
A yellow and blue decorated pysanka egg that's just starting to hatch, with a yellow beak cracking through the shell.
This little egg acrylic painting is on a 7cm (2.8") square canvas and is signed and dated on the back.
The pysanky canvas will either come with a 12cm (4.7") wooden easel for display, or will be strung with a ribbon in a colour that matches the painting so it can be hung on a wall (as in picture 5). Just choose with easel or ribbon hanging when you buy.
If sold, 50% of the item price of this painting will be donated to AUGB's Help Ukraine fund.
