Acrylic artist painting everything bright, cute and colourful

Hi, I'm Kim Onyskiw, a self taught artist from Huddersfield, Yorkshire (with some Ukrainian heritage).
I enjoy painting original pieces in acrylics, and my work is mostly inspired by nature - beautiful landscapes, colourful skies and cute animals always fill my head with ideas. I like to share those wonderful and whimsical images with others through my paintings, in the hope of making people smile. I'm always attracted to bright and bold colours, so my paintings usually end up very colourful (but I can tone down if someone requests a more neutral piece).
I also like to combine the landscapes or cute animals with aspects from Ukrainian culture, such as the traditional decorated eggs - pysanky, to create Ukraine inspired works in my own style (as can be seen in the photo above).

I'm always happy to do commissions if someone likes my style but I don't quite have what they're looking for, and it's always an honour to paint someone's beloved pet. My own pets and the wildlife passing through the garden provide great inspiration for my work, so it's always nice to get photos and stories of other people's pets to add to this. It's a lovely feeling when someone thinks I've captured the personality of their pet in a painting, so I love to hear the little things that make them unique when I get a pet commission.
