Full description
A minimalist abstract get well card based on a little snowdrop created from handspun newspaper yarn. Blank inside (A6).
The newspaper yarn used in these recycled greetings cards is carefully handspun from hand cut, thin strips of newspaper. I have tried spindles/shredders, but I find that using my fingers helps keep the yarn fine as possible as well as allowing me more control over the colours and textures produced. I also think there is something important about knowing the newspaper has physically passed through the hands of the maker, which transforms the bad news stories and makes them a part of your stories as you send them to your friends and family.
Handcrafted individually with handspun newspaper yarn, with colours found within the pages of newspapers. Each piece is signed by the artist.
