Full description
This brooch is 25mm in diameter.
I have made it by first building up layers of clear enamel on the copper shape. I then scattered pools of white, yellow and blue enamel on this coat and when the piece was at red hot in the kiln I disturbed the surface with a steel rod to draw the colours into the random scrolled pattern. depending on the direction and intensity of light striking the brooch thecopper base shows through in tones of golden-brown.
The brooch is mounted on a 19mm brooch bar that secures with a rotating catch.
