Full description
This brooch measures 50mm in duameter.
I made it be laying down a base of several layers of clear enamel on a copper disc. Overthat I lay a coat of golden yellow. I then placed rods of enamel, red, yellow, yellow-brown and turquoise, on the disc and when this was at red hot in the kiln I drew through them with a steel tip to create the random, swirled pattern. Because the enamel starts to set as soon as the kiln door is open the surface is smooth but uneven, adding a tactile element to the brooch and affecting the play of light reflected from it.
The booch is a truly unique piece of jewellery.
Your brooch will be sent in a soft cloth drawstring bag.
For UK delivery I use Royal Mail, first class, signed for. For european delivery i use international signed for. Postage rates are calculated on these services. If you prefer another delivery service please contact me.
