I was in the process of making work for my second solo show, "More Than Words" in Framewerk Gallery, Belfast, in July 2016. All my pieces were based on English expressions which has always been of interest to me, especially since my background is in foreign languages and teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL). I have made other artworks based on the same theme, with similar titles. " A Bird In The Hand," an acrylic painting also available in my Folksy shop in a separate listing, is one of them.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
In the hopefully unlikely event of a return, postage must be covered by the buyer and the item returned to me in the same condition it was sent out in. I cannot be held responsible for loss or damage in transit, but will keep all proof of postage labels, so that if such were to occur, I can assist with making a claim.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
An original monotype print made using a gelli-plate, embellished once dry with pan pastels, markers and collage from my own handprinted papers.
This is NOT a reproduction/a digitally reproduced print. It is handmade and is called a monotype since it is exactly that: a one-off print that does not come in an edition.
This is the ghostprint of the first image of the same title, now sold. A ghostprint is so called because it is made using up the paint or ink left over on the printing plate and is therefore usually lighter in colour. I added some embellishment to the ghostprint using my own hand made collaged papers, some coloured ink with Faber Castell Pitt pens, and some pastels.
The paper measures 29.5 x 39 cms.
It is signed and titled on the front beneath the image in the traditional manner, and comes mounted, glazed (with glass) and a lovely, modern, wooden white frame.
