Full description
Using stencil techniques I added a layer of black enamel and then a circle of blue enamel in the centre of the diamond over layers of clear enamel. I then scattered red enamel on the surface, placed two rods of white enamel across the centre and drew through these and the blue circle, while the diamond was in the kiln at red hot, to create the scrolled pattern.
The brooch measures 69mm by 41mm. It is slightly domed. It is mounted on a 26mm brooch bar, soldered to the copper on the reverse. The reverse has a layer of enamel over it and I have cut through this to expose the copper base so that I can solder on the brooch bar.
