Full description
This brooch measures 30mm square. It is mounted on a 20mm brooch bar soldered to the copper shape. The pin secures with a roling catch.
After building a base coat of clear enamel on the copper shape I have put on it a thin coat of turquoise. The copper base shines through in tones of golden brown. Over that I placed rods of yellow, gold, black, white and blue enamel then, while the piece was in the kiln at red hot, drew a steel point through them to generate the swirled random patterns.
