This is an original artist linocut print, NOT a reproduction.
I have printed the image using waterbased artist relief inks on Japanese Hosho printmaking paper. Each one is numbered, titled and signed in pencil underneath the image, in the traditional manner. The total edition run is only 12.
This particluar lino print is a multi-block print, made with several blocks which I inked separately and printed together for each print.
This listing is for the print only, which I will send protected in a cellophane sleeve, rolled in a cardboard postal tube.
The paper measures 39.5 x 27.5 cms.
If you would like a mounted version, I have several in my studio, so please just get in touch. They have been drymounted first onto archival, acid free mountboard and measure 32.5 x 30.5 cms. (The mount is 1.5 inches, or almost 4 cms, wide all round).
It has been designed, handcut, inked and printed by yours truly. These have been printed by hand using a tool called a baren, and so each print is unique and may vary slightly from the one in the photographs.
Please just get in touch if you have any questions and thanks for looking.
PLEASE NOTE: NO SALE TRANSFERS THE COPYRIGHT, WHICH REMAINS THE SOLE PROPERTY OF THE ARTIST. PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE IMAGES WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, THANK YOU.
I love hens, but I especially love the tail feathers of the male rooster. This is my first multi-block linocut print.
