I thought the 'pop' of colour on the eggs in this monotone image would be rather effective.

I designed this print as part of The Royal Exchange's 'Colour Pop' exhibition in 2016. The heron is one of the only British birds to lay beautiful blue eggs and it nests high up in the trees. Herons live in groups called heronries and Chorlton Ees is home to an impressive one of these. I love the cathedral-like curve of the fir trees' branches. The print is one of a limited edition of 45 and the actual printed area measures 18cm x 27cm. It will be sent carefully rolled in tissue and fits nicely in an Ikea frame. It would make a great present for any nature lover.
