Sugar or jam pot, hand thrown on the wheel, with a brown leaf design and an adorable hand sculpted black and white kitten on the lid. The lid has a space to fit a jam or sugar spoon.The pot measures approx 10.5 cms across and 15 cms high.

This pot is decorated with a leaf design in iron oxide, using the wax resist method. This is where liquid wax is applied to the areas of a pot where no colour is wanted. Colour is then applied to the whole pot and when fired the wax burns away leaving the design exposed. It's one of my favourite forms of decoration as you get a soft effect design rather than a hard edge. The little kitten on the lid makes the whole pot a unique and charming gift.
