I took inspiration for this design from one of my most favourite films - Amelie. I just love how the main character was style throughout the film in an eclectic mix of textures and tones. All of her cardigans were the right side of quirky with a traditional handmade feel to everything.

I took inspiration for this design from one of my most favourite films - Amelie. I just love how the main character was style throughout the film in an eclectic mix of textures and tones. All of her cardigans were the right side of quirky with a traditional handmade feel to everything.
This cardigan, for me is the perfect mix of handmade chic, it looks like something that was lovingly knit by your nan, but with some cool styling to give it a funky edge. Deep hems and cuffs, a boxy shape and lovely wide boat neck make it an excellent partner to dresses and trousers alike.
it is a simple design that is suitable for a beginner and the raglan sleeves and aran weight knit make is a fairly quick knit too.
The pattern will come as a pdf file emailed directly to you once your order has been placed.
I hope you will really enjoy making this project, it was great fun to develop as a design.
