Formerly 'Buttons, Beads and Blanket Stitch'.
My work predominantly comprises hand cut and burnished lino prints, with sewing playing an occasional part.
Whether working in print or in stitch, I am inspired by the natural world and the people around me, with words/text frequently playing an integral part.

Full description
This festive little robin has been lovingly hand-stitched in felt. The front of the bird is dark brown with a bright red breast and has been embellished with decorative feather and chain stitches, sequins for eyes and beak and a white iridescent flower detail.
It is lightly padded, with its reverse a plain bright red felt. It has a cream and red striped hanging ribbon, with its feet jingling bells, tied to the ends of skinny black ribbon legs; a lovely addition to any Christmas tree!
It measures approx. 12cm across its top from the tip of its tail and approx. 7.5cm from the top edge to under the fattest part of its tummy.
