Item details

This little fox box is made from Walnut, Maple and an off-cut of unknown wood given to me that had been in someones shed for years. This box is lined with a small soft cushion covered in hand-woven Ardalanish tweed. I've finished the box with danish oil and beeswax.

This fox measures 5cm ear to ear and 5cm ear to nose. It's external height is 3.5cm. The inside space measures 2.5cm diameter and has a depth of 1.5cm to the top of the cushion.

I wanted to try a different way of making boxes from the traditional way which I was taught. I made a collection of woodland animals as a result of trying out new ideas. This is my little fox box design.
