The sandpiper is, on the face of it, a dull brown bird but I love the challenge of getting brown to be interesting! This bird is anything but dull!

Full description
This sandpiper has been hand carved in a typical sandpiper pose. It has jointed dowel legs and a split tail. I have painted it with acrylics and set in hand coloured glass eyes. It has been waxed to give it a soft shine and mounted on driftwood. It is 14cm tall, 21cm from beak to tail and 6cm deep overall. (SN288)
