Beautiful sterling silver studs with blue & violet iolite cabochon.
As all my other designs these earrings are made from Ecosilver- recycled sterling silver. The cabochon has 5 mm in diameter & the earring measures 12 mm.
The ear pin has two indentations for extra safety- it should keep the scroll in place properly- hopefully no more lost earrings!

The stones have amazing colour- from light blue with violet flashes when in the direct sun to deep blue reminiscent of the ocean. Apparently, iolite was the first polarizing filter- a lens allowing to locate sun on the sky when overcast- used by Viking explores when venturing across the Atlantic. Great story & super beautiful stone.

These earrings will arrive packed an organza bag and a pretty little box made from recycled paper- if you are buying these as a present it will be all ready to go to the lucky person- I am happy to add a wish card with your message upon request at no extra cost to you.
