I made these gift tags last year for craft fairs and people loved them because they were different.

A set of 4 handmade deer tags
I make these tags by painting a kraft tag with duck egg blue paint, I gently distress them. I have stamped a deer on each tag. The other side of the tag is not painted so messages can be easily written. Each tag is strung with rustic string.
The last picture shows the tags wrapped in bubble wrap and secured with red gingham tissue paper and string, ready to be placed in a hard backed envelope for safe delivery.
Size matters...each tag is 7cm by 4cm.
