I love drawing and I love making my own sketchbooks. These folded origami sketchbooks are great because they are nice and small but open up to give you lots of room to work in.

This beautiful little sketchbook is made from squares of cartridge paper joined together and folded to create an unusual sketchbook with lots of room to work in.
The sturdy covers are covered with natural linen fabric and the front cover is embellished with a small feather stitched on with little cross stitches.
I rip rather than cut the paper to give nice soft edges to the pages. I love playing with these sketchbooks, they are very sculptural and are lovely objects in themselves as well as being fun to work in.
The sketchbook is approximately 12cm x 12cm and when opened out to it's full length it measures around 90cm. Please note, the photos of the open pages are of another sketchbook made exactly the same way but you'll notice the covers are blue rather than natural as for this sketchbook.
