Full description
After many hours of stitching this little Nuthatch has found his way into my shop. He's perched on a bramble, nestled amongst the berries - which I've created by hand stitching 86 individual red and black seed beads. Everything else has been lovingly hand embroidered using quality DMC and Anchor threads.
Birds make a wonderful subject for any kind of art and the use of thread gives a lovely added texture.
I've stitched this nuthatch onto a backing of linen and cotton mix fabric. I don't glue onto the hoop but stitch the work securely at the back before neatening it off.
The hoop itself measures 6 inches across and can be hung using the piece of twine provided or with something of your own choosing.
