This pre-cut kit can be a great introduction to English paper-piecing, otherwise known as EPP - a traditional hand-sewing technique that has been popular for hundreds of years.
As we are looking for ways to slow down our hectic lives, if only for an hour in front of the TV, more people are turning to hand-sewn crafts for relaxation and even therapy and EPP is no exception! Many of us may have started a hexagon project way back when, but lost interest in the slow process of all that thread basting and unpicking!
Well, time has moved on, and thankfully, threading basting is now a thing of the past - thanks to some genius coming up with glue basting! Yay! You can see more about this method in our tutorials on sewmotion.com.
This cushion kit includes all the fabric (Essex Linen and two prints from Dashwood Studio's gorgeous Cotton Candy collection), papers, glue, thread and wadding you need to make the cushion front, you just need to provide the backing and cushion pad.
Finished cushion measures approx. 16" x 16" (40cm x 40cm)
