I have been crafting since I can remember - making dolls clothes on my Mum's old Jones sewing machine, and learning to knit with my Nan - but quilting really took over my life following a trip to Australia where on a rainy day in a campervan, I poured over a collection of quilting magazines, and have never looked back!

I am totally self-taught and am fascinated by the maths and geometrics involved in quilt design. I find that working with fabrics, colour and design makes me so happy and content, and I love passing this onto others who want to learn how to quilt - this is why you will find a series of free tutorials and patterns on sewmotion.com.

My Quick & Easy/Beginner's Quilt Kits and Hexy Cushion kits are ideal for beginners, while my other kits have been designed to help develop those newly acquired skills. Of course, these pre-cut kits are also great for the more advanced quilter who just wants to get stuck into the sewing and not worry about fabric selection and lots of cutting.

I also own a very large (and ever growing) fabric stash, which I use to make small gift items and cushions, all of which are unique and designed and made by myself, up here in Teesside.
