'Crystal Whale' is an original giclee art print featuring a humpback whale covered in pink and turquoise crystals, followed by a shoal of silvery fish. The illustration was hand drawn in pen and ink and painted with an intricate watercolour back ground. The print is special as it is only one of a limited edition run of 500 and is hand signed and numbered.

The size of the print is A3 (420mmx297mm), so it will easily fit in a ready-made frame. The print is supplied unframed.

The image has been printed using high-quality inkjet ink on textured 240gsm fine art paper, making the print look as good quality as the original. The paper is free from acid and OBAs, consisting only of cotton fibres. Prints are guaranteed not to fade for over 100 years! The prints are much sharper, more vibrant and beautifully detailed than the photos can represent.

It is advisable to not display prints in a direct source of sunlight to protect the colour vibrancy.

Artworks are hand crafted by myself, Pipistrelle, in Bristol. I am a maker of patterned illustrations and ceramic entities to wear or to use or just to gaze at. Inspired by nature's most weird and wonderful.

I am inspired by all things weird and wonderful in nature particularly under the sea life. I like juxtaposing imagery that doesn't fit together in the usual sense. For this piece I wanted to fuse some of nature's most beautiful creations, as if the crystals are growing out of the whale's bumpy barnacled skin.
