I had to have surgery earlier this year,and lots of time post op. has given me a great opportunity to use the new Czech multi holed beads, and this necklace is part of the evidence! I'll be listing some more of these spring-inspired pieces, so why not have a browse around my shop?

Full description
This absolute one-off of a highly detailed necklace was inspired by a design called Bird's Tail Necklace, by a lady called Akiko Namura. It is significantly different to that design as I have added some elements and taken others out.
The focus of this design is a front row featuring groups of three daggers, in three colours and various combinations. Between the groups I've used hand painted teal and royal blue beads, pale turquoise crescent beads, Czech crystals and Czech glass pearls.The groups of three continue up the sides, more spaced out than at the focus. It fastens with a strong gold plated lobster claw clasp. Dozens of tiny gold coloured beads highlight the larger beads. Some of the dagger beads have a matte finish, some are shiny.Every single bead has to be individually stitched into place, which gives the whole necklace strength and texture - for me, it's the sort of piece which invites you to touch it and feel the different textures. The whole length is beaded, and it measures 54cm with an average width of 3cm..
All the components used are hypoallergenic.
I think this is a very special piece of jewellery and could easily be worn with a prom dress or a posh frock! It's a definite OOAK, with a lot of work in it, but I think it was time well-spent.
