For pets with a taste for vintage...

I love the history of vintage suitcases.
Battered and bruised, each one tells a story.

The perfect shape for a pet bed, this vintage suitcase would add a touch of vintage charm to any home.

Full description

This is a quirky pet bed, suitable for cats or smaller dogs.

It is made from a vintage 1940s suitcase, relined and padded.

The internal measurements are:

51cm x 29cm, with a depth of 16cm.

The lining fabric is a red and white paisley design cotton.

It is backed with alayer of cotton wadding, with a vintage lace trim around the lid.

The large cushion features blowsy roses.

It has a removable cover, with a deep envelope opening to the reverse.

The reverse is the same blowsy rose cotton as the front.

The smaller cushion is a red and white gingham, also with a removeable cover.

Both cushion covers can be gently hand washed or specialist dry cleaned.

Originating from the 1940s, this suitcase is well travelled and shows signs of wear and tear, with a few scuffs and marks consistent with its age.

These add to its vintage character.

PLEASE NOTE:

As the lid has been gently padded on the inside it is now a decorative feature of the pet bed.

This means the suitcase can no longer be completely closed, as this would damage the lace.
