Full description
A lovely little doorstop onto the front of which a black cat silhouette has been needlefelted and two small butterfly decorations have been added. It measures approximately 11cm (w) x 12cm (h) x 7cm (d) (4.25" x 4.75" x 2.75"). The doorstop weighs approximately 750g and is made from a beige coloured herringbone patterned fabric which is plasticised on the inside and is sealed with a zip and an additional velcro closure. The weight is provided by rice which has been enclosed further in a plastic ziplock bag to prevent spillage. A rope handle is attached to the top.
As an alternative to a doorstop this could also be used as a bookend, paperweight or to hold down tissue pattern pieces whilst laying out on fabric.
Although it is not heavy enough to cope with doors in strong winds or those with spring closures it is sufficient to prevent doors slamming in a light breeze. If a heavier weight is required some of the filling could be removed and replaced with lead fishing weights.
