Full description
This 'I love my dog' wooden plaque was made using a number of techniques. I used texture paste and stencils to create some dimension in the background, the two dogs, and the letters are made from air dry clay carefully pressed out from moulds and then attached to the plaque. The whole thing was then painted with specialist mica sparkle paints in shades of warm browns and greens blended together which give a very sparkly effect that does not come across in the photo!!
Finally I used gold and bronze coloured gilding wax to pick out detail and give the clay pieces a look of metal. The finished piece has a very metallic look with a lot of sparkle!!
The plaque is hung by a string which can be doubled up for a shorter length. Or if you wanted to the ribbon could be removed and it could be attached with screws.
Size: 18.5cm x 7.5cm x 0.5cm.
The back is painted plain brown.
