I will accept returns without question and will give a full refund of the original purchase price, excluding postage, packing and insurance costs. No refund will be issued until I have received the goods and I strongly recommend that you use an insured and signed for delivery service. (Return postage will not be refunded.) Please make consideration of the fact that my goods are either completely vintage or handmade using vintage materials and you should not expect them to be completely flawless.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
A wonderful OOAK handmade patchwork cushion with a bright and breezy summery feel.
I used a salvaged piece of vintage hand embroidered linen for the central piece. It features cheerful daisy flowers and lupins all loving stitched many years ago. This is surrounded by a selection of fabulous vintage floral fabrics, including Sanderson designs from the 1950's. I also added a length of narrow ricrac braid in a lovely lemon yellow along the seam of one of the fabrics. All other seams are top stitched for added strength and decorative effect.
The reverse is another beautiful Sanderson cotton, with soft William Morris style design. It has an opening for removal of the cushion pad should you need to launder the cover. The opening is closed with two vintage mother-of-pearl buttons tied in place.
Comes complete with a new duck feather filled pad. Approx: 43cm square. Please note, vintage fabrics have usually had a previous life - Please be aware that they may not withstand very heavy use, but do have a wonderful time-worn charm that is not present in modern fabrics.
A lovely cushion to comfy-up a deckchair or to ring the seasonal changes on the sofa!
