Full description
This quilt kit is perfect for someone who wants to learn all about the wonderful craft of patchwork & quilting. This lap quilt finishes at approx 42" x 42", making it an ideal size for a first project.
In this pack you will find all the pre-cut fabric squares you will need to make the top, as well as the border and binding strips - as these are all cut for you, you won't need to use templates!
Also included are an Aurifil thread for piecing and full, easy-to-follow instructions. And if you need a little extra help, there are links to my free online tutorial that takes you through every stage of making your first quilt on sewmotion.com.
You will also need:
- basic sewing equipment including pins, scissors, curved safety pins (for basting) and a needle.
- 44" x 44" wadding and backing fabric, and thread for quilting.
Optional but recomended:
- a quilter's rotary cutter, ruler and mat
- a quarter-inch foot and a walking foot on your sewing machine.
