I found these beautiful elongated wood discs at a craft fair last year, and having recently rediscovered my love for pyrography (burning designs into wood) I combined the two to create this pendant. I love to watch as the different pressures of the heated nib burn the pattern into the wood, creating unique marks that will never be repeated anywhere else.

The heart design on this item can represent to the wearer something special or significant to them, maybe a love of wood too, or 3 important people or events to them. A universal symbol that can hold much feeling or memory.

Also, if like me you are a mum, you may find often that little hands tinker with your jewellery! I have found when using wood it is very hard wearing and tactile, ideal for daily wear and very forgiving.
I have previously made similar items with spirals and they were used as decorations and amulets when meditating.
