Welcome to Jackdaw Bindery - thank you so much for visiting! Here you will find a wonderful selection of hand-bound soft cover leather and cork wrap journals and sketchbooks, created using a range of hand selected materials. Each and every item that you find in my shop has been hand-bound by myself in my little studio in West Ashling, West Sussex on the South Coast of England.
All of the leather I use have been sourced as a by-product from the upholstery and automotive trade which may otherwise end up as waste. If you have an idea for a custom book, I would love work with you to create the perfect handbound journal for your needs, just get in touch and we can go from there!
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

On the rare occasion that a colour has sold out you will be informed ASAP and offered an alternative or a full refund.

The perfect companion for any budding chef, baker, cook, foodie. A simple layout recipe book to record all your treasured recipes. This recipe journal will hold 59 recipes, with a blank back page and front page with a title 'Recipes' - please note, the text on the front page can be altered by request to whatever you like, just let me know in the note to seller box at checkout!
Each recipe page contains space for the following info: recipe title, prep time, cooking time, servings, 14 ingredients, 20 lines to write your method, 4 lines for your notes.
- 120 pages (front and back) of 6" x 4" silky smooth 160gsm card - enough for 59 recipes!

- Hand-bound into 100% genuine leather
- Secures with a leather tie
- Bound with linen thread
Please note that as leather is a natural material, occasionally there will be peculiarities - this is not a flaw, but adds to the character of each piece.
As this item is made to order, no two journals are alike and so the images in this listing are for illustration purposes only. Lead time varies based on workload but I can usually have your journal made and in the mail within 5 days.
