I love hares and particularly love the mystery and folk lore surrounding them. The three hares with interlocking ears make me feel oddly happy, there is something really pleasing about the endless nature of the circle of running hares. I will be painting up some cake stands in a similar design. (smiling inside with the thought of this!)

Full description

I really enjoyed making this!

This is a handprinted ceramic trivet, painted in food safe underglaze colour and glazed in leader glaze. It measures 20 cm across and is a cm thick with stubby feet on the bottom. The three hares are 'Tinners' hares with interlocking ears. I have painted a sepia band round the edge and decorated with foliage and red hearts. I have one of these trivets in my kitchen, but often it gets used as a cheese board as it is the perfect size for a block of stilton..or cheddar (or indeed any other cheese!)

It is back stamped and signed and comes with an artist information card on jute string. I wrap in tissue and package in recycled materials wherever possible.
