As I already weave with natural materials and make straw Bee-skeps (bee hives) the Alveary was a natural progression.
The materials were cut from an overgrown hedge as it was being laid.

Alveary - traditional pre Anglo-Saxon style of bee-hive is made to order from hazel and willow. This woven style of beehive is predates the style of the Straw bee-skeps I make.
The materials for the hive pictured were cut from an overgrown hedge as it was being laid. This wicker hive is for decorative purposes as, traditionally covered in daub or, Cob (clay mix) to protect the bees from our British weather. Ecolistic Artworks now has a listing for daub hives in the shop.
The hives featured show one domed with a handle and round entrance at the bottom of the hive and a conical shaped one with a rectangle slight for an entrance and also a conical shaped one with a round hole. Any variations such as placement of entrances, handles and size could be accommodated at the request of the customer.
Custom orders welcome, message me for details.
The Alveary hives featured are betweeen 30 cm's - 40 cm's tall, other sizes can be created and the price may need to be adjusted. Feel free to message me and ask. I can send the customer images of their item being constructed.
