Item details

This is a fabric collage depicting the Snowdrop, a symbol of Winter coming to an end. The image is made from a base of hand painted cotton layered with lace, silver net and panels of printed fabric. The stems are subtle shades of green and grey cotton machine stitched in matching threads with the white flower heads hanging in contrast. The image size is 18cm square in a mount that is 30 cm square. The picture is framed and ready to hang.

Snowdrop - Spring's scout is inspired by the first signs of Spring in my garden. After so many days of dull skies the little flag of white made me so happy I needed to celebrate and record the moment. I chose the colours carefully to highlight the white against the ever threatening sky.
