I like designs with natural themes such as birds, animals and flowers. The wax resist method used here is one of my favourite design methods as it gives a soft appearance to the design, making it spontaneous and fresh.

Full description
Black and cream bowl with bird design, using wax resist method. This is where liquid wax is applied to the raw clay bowl, which is then painted over with colour. When the bowl is fired the wax burns away leaving the design showing. This method gives a nice soft effect to a design. The bowl is fired to stoneware so is tough and durable, microwave and dishwasher safe. The bowl measures 16.5 cms across and is 7 cms deep.
