I work part time in Wakefield and love the architecture of the old textile Mills there. I was also part of the Tour De France events at work and wanted to combine cycling and the amazing Mill buildings in an image. I also wanted to work to a more restricted colour palette using scanned in textures created with watercolour and paint.

Full description
This A4 Illustrated print is of Marsden Mills, which used to be called Bank Bottom Mill, a scene found in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. I have used a limited colour pallete of yellows and greens to depict the cyclist looking down over the view.
I have worked for a number of years in West Yorkshire, most recently at The Hepworth Wakefield and developed a love of the architecture of places in and around Wakefield, which inspired this piece.
I think that it would make a lovely gift for a cycling fan or as a treat for yourself.
It is A4 in size, measuring 29.5cm x 21cm with a 3 - 4.5cm white border around the edge, making it ideal for framing. It is hand signed in the bottom, right corner below the title 'Marsden Mills.'
It is digitally printed to a professional standard onto a 210 gsm, uncoated, matte paper and comes packaged in a hard backed envelope, wrapped in a cellophane packet to ensure a safe journey to you.
