We have a little grey squirrel in the garden who we love watching. They are so entertaining! I hand carved this over the Christmas period and I decided to print a red one rather than the grey for a lovely splash of colour.

Full description
This is a lino printed card featuring the red squirrel - Sciurus vulgaris. It's little tail folds around and prints onto the back of the card.
I have a soft spot for these little furry animals so I decided to carve the lino based on the red variety as they are more rare in the UK. These can be used for thank you cards or general correspondence. Any animal lover would love to receive one of these!
These are blank on the inside for your own message so that you can use the cards all year round (you can also purchase these in packs of 5 - please see my other listings).
Hand carved lino which was mounted type high for printing on a platen press. The ink was mixed by hand and then the card was printed using a victorian press onto A6 300gsm FSC certified card stock. The card is packaged together with a kraft C6 envelope, inside a cellophane bag.
These cards are printed one at a time, hand cranked on a vintage press (circa 1895). Therefore each card is unique. Colour variations occur due to differences in ink batches/ time of print and also will vary based on your colour monitor.
