This jug and saucer set was inspired by a friend, she asked me to make her one for her Christmas dinner table. I enjoyed making it so much I now offer it in my shop.
It's a great addition to your roast dinner table, equally as useful for milk at breakfast time.

Full description

Handmade milk jug, gravy boat or sauce jug with little saucer to catch drips.

I make this duck egg jug and saucer by throwing stoneware clay on my potter's wheel. When partially dried I then add a handle and a footring on the saucer. They are then left to dry for at least a week after-which they are fired to 1060 degrees centigrade. I use one of my favourite glazes on these two cuties; a beautiful duck egg blue which lets the natural speckle of the clay shine through. I fire them a second time in my kiln to 1250 making it strong and durable. My potter's mark is on the handle and on the base of the saucer.
