I just love this glaze combination, so simple, rustic and clean at the same time. I enjoy experimenting and trying out these glazes with different shapes. The glaze has run on one of these mugs, creating an interesting drippy characteristic. These little mugs are perfect for someone who enjoys a smaller cup of coffee.

Full description

Stoneware Matt White and Sandy Speckle Mugs

I threw these mugs on my potters wheel using stoneware clay. I dried them out for a few days then fettled the base and added the handle. Once bone dry they were fired in my kiln to 1060 degrees centigrade. I then glazed the interior and the rim with a transparent glaze that lets the natural speckle of the clay show through. I then dipped the bottom into my chalky white stoneware glaze. They are finally fired to 1250 degrees centigrade making them strong and durable. My potter's mark is on the handle.

Dimensions (approx):

Height: 7.5cm

Diameter: 7cm

These mugs are made with lead free glazes and are dinnerware safe.

They are dishwasher proof and microwave proof.
