This adorable little pop bellied salt pig was inspired by a friend of mine who wanted a salt pig in 'duck egg' to match her kitchen but couldn't find one anywhere so she asked me to make her one. She loved it so much I decided to make a few more for you lovely folk ;-)

Full description

This little pop bellied salt pig was thrown on my wheel using stoneware clay & I made the spoon by hand. Once the pot was 'cheese hard' (partially dried) I shaped the foot and cut the groove for the spoon to rest in. I fired the pot & spoon when bone dry, I then glaze with my one of my favourite Duck Egg glazes; a stunning glaze which lets the natural speckle of the glaze to shine through. I then finally fire to 1250 making it strong and dishwasher and microwave proof.

Dimensions (approx):

Height: 8cm

Width: 7-8cm (widest point at the belly)

All my work is made with lead free glaze and is dinnerware safe.
