Originally inspired by my parents small meadow in Pembrokeshire and all the wonderful bees it attracts, I wrote this story about a happy little bee to celebrate creativity and a love of life! I adore the colour combinations of bright warm yellows, deep inky blues and pale sky blues and thought this was a perfect opportunity to create an illustrated book with this refined palette of colours. The texture used throughout is a photo of slate I took at the Welsh Botanic Gardens.
