Item details
I love geometry and mathematics and use a lot of geometric patterns in my work. This design is influenced by the Greek mathematician Euclid, who wrote the "Elements", a series of texts on geometry and number theory. I wanted to explore the x, y, and z coordinates, the 3 dimensions that make up the physical world. I lalso love the work of M C Escher and set about creating this transition from a simple repeating hexagon pattern to a seemingly impossible 3D cube structure that could not exist in real space. Or could it?
