Amongst my many interests apart from Japanese and Hip Hop culture is the study of typography, type design and printmaking, (did I mention Hip Hop?). All of me is reflected in the uchi brand. Every uchi T shirt design is a track, and the collections are albums.
A great deal of time and thought goes into creating what I hope are timeless designs that’ll still look good long after fashions change. Each track has it’s own story and methodology behind it.

uchi Tees and hoodies are screen printed by hand by professional garment printers.
I love screen printing, so I hand screen print the limited edition prints myself. It’s as much a part of the art form as the finished result.
