This photograph was taken on a Mamiya medium format film camera, and is hand printed by me on Ilford Galerie fibre-based paper, using traditional darkroom techniques. The photograph measures 18cm square and is mounted with a high quality antique white window mount. The total size of the mounted print is 30cm square.

Each of my darkroom photographs is signed and numbered according to the edition. This is a real black and white photograph, not an inkjet print or other digital image.

I am currently taking a break from selling as I am embarking on an adventurous house move! Please call back in the New Year when I should be fully settled into my new home and workspace!

The Westend Valley is a very beautiful valley tucked away in the Dark Peak, Derbyshire. I love the huge dark rock face of the eroded river bank, topped by the soft grasses with the shadowiy woodland behind. The River Westend has many moods, and I have watched this stretch of bank change with time as floods, drought and freezing conditions have taken their toll.
