I was on my local beach in Deal Kent and was collecting pebbles to create a mandala - see image included in the gallery for this item.
I found a holey or hag stone that I used as part of my mandala, but as I sat on the pebbles I recall it being very wild with the sun glistening on the waves. It was as if the sea was swirling around like a plughole as the waves hit the underneath of the pier legs, and so I added this pattern, my favourite spiral pattern, to the stone.
Often these stones with the hole in the middle are worn as protection. I wear one daily because I just like the pattern and feel to them! A natural jewel that people often walk by when out by the shoreline. I like to wonder how many years it has taken to shape them to where they are, who else has held them, what has the stone seen?
How many pieces are unique and offer this magickal story, that is a mystery.
