The Yorkshire Wolds follows the chalk hills stretching from the Humber estuary to the seaside town of Bridlington on the east coast. It is one of our favourite places to visit, not too far from home and a world away from all the hustle and bustle. It is a haven for wildlife and long views and offers the walker some fabulous landscapes to enjoy.
This view is just outside of the village of Fridaythorpe, the half way point on the Wolds Way,.We visited in late June and were fortunate to see the poppy fields punctuating the swaying fields of ripening barley. A day to remember in inks.
