Full description
A lovely gift for any nature-lover! To make this pendant I used a rolling mill to imprint a butterfly shape onto copper sheet. The shape was then cut out using a piercing saw and the body of the butterfly soldered onto it. I pierced holes in the wings to create a lacy, filigree effect and added two haematite beads, two long black ebony beads, copper chain and an ornate copper toggle clasp.
The overall length is about 22inches(40cm). The butterfly is 3.8cm wide and 3cm high (11/2 x 11/4in). The copper has been polished to a natural sheen. I can patinate it to a darker bronze colour and/or coat it with a protective metal lacquer if you prefer.
This necklace will be packaged in a smart gift box and posted to you by Royal Mail first class.
