Inspiration for my work comes from the idea of finding beauty in the function of simple pots. We all use ceramics in our homes everyday. Taking time to drink tea from a favourite mug or eat soup from an honest bowl can be a simple, background pleasure in life.
I throw all my pots by hand on a pottery wheel and enjoy developing my own designs. I use stoneware for most of my pots because I feel the firm texture of the clay best reflects a rustic influence and the plain style of my pottery.
Most of all I hope people enjoy using my pots.

Full description
Thus lovely unique candle bowl is completely handmade. The bowl is hand thrown on a wheel using stoneware clay and filled with soy candle wax. When the candle runs out, the bowl can be cleaned and reused.
This candle bowl makes a lovely gift and is a perfect for your home, garden or as a votive/meditation aid.
Each bowl is glazed on the inside only with a clear functional glaze. The outside of the bowl is left unglazed to show the natural beauty of the bare clay. Each bowl has my own pottery seal on the base.
The bowl is filled with soy candle wax and is unscented. Please always follow the usual safety precautions when using candles. To clean your bowl soak in hot water.
Measurements approx:
8cm across (3.14 inches)
4cm high (1.57 inches)
Burn time approx 8 hours.
Please note that slight variations in glazing and decoration are a nature of handmade ceramics.
