This pretty little pendant is ideal as a piece of day jewellery but, because it catches the light beautifully, it would also look lovely worn for an evening event. It is in the shape of a double-sided wheel; handwoven using tiny seed beads in silver and frosted blue and high quality, 4mm air blue opal Swarovski xilion crystals. The seed beads are Japanese Miyuki, well known for their quality and therefore popular for bead weaving. The crystals have an AB (aurora borealis) coating, a thin metallic coating on one side of each crystal to give them a lovely iridescent shimmer. The pendant is strung on a silver-plated chain with a trigger clasp. I use plated silver as it seems less inclined to tarnish than sterling silver but I am happy to change these fittings to sterling silver at extra cost if required.
The pendant is 3cms (approx. 1.2 ins) in diameter and 0.8 cm (0.3ins) thick. The hole in the middle of the wheel is 1cm (0.4 ins) chain is 41cms (16 ins) long.
The pendant will be sent wrapped in acid-free tissue paper in a sturdy cardboard box.
This piece was inspired by a tutorial from Ellad2, a brilliant Italian jewellery designer, who gives permission for items made from her patterns to be sold.
