A one-off original piece of eco-friendly art, which can also be used as a postcard.
It is not a print, it is the original.
It is a sewn collage, made from used food packaging and worn-out books and magazines.
The hat is made from a 1980's magazine. The face, jacket and background are all parts of a worn-out atlas. The jacket shows a map of Brazil. The tie is made from a postal label, kindly given to me by my old Postie, you can see part of the word 'Dulwich'.
Everything used in its making was rescued from the bin. The materials have already lived a life, and therefore will have minor blemishes.
I made it approximately 2 years ago, when I was experimenting with technique, and it has been sitting in a shoe box under my bed ever since.
It is not as slick as my current work (I hadn't quite found my groove at this point!), which is why I am selling it at a much reduced price.
It measures 14.5cms x 19cms.
It is listed as 'Father's Day', but could be for other occasions.
All of my work is individually numbered, this piece is 635.
In keeping with my ethos, it will arrive on your doormat in a sewn envelope made from old magazines.
