Having been asked by my brother-in-law to make some 'interesting' ties as he was struggling to find any available I thought they would make a great addition to CatkinJane. I'm pleased to say they are proving to be popular with many people for all sorts of occasions.

Full description
This handmade tie is made from Liberty's cotton lawn fabric printed with the Claire Aude design which is an almost abstract print with soft blue greys,greens, purple and gold and was inspired by several 1930s Tana prints. It was designed for Liberty in 1975 and has been a Classic Tana since 1982. Tana lawn is a finely woven, light weight and ultra soft fabric which works very well for ties.
The tie is bias cut, hand rolled, and hand sewn closed with a hidden slip stitch which ensures that you will get a perfect knot.
It is a generous length of 59" (150cm) and is 3.5" (9cm) at its widest.
